Intuitive Acupuncture Point: Stream Divide

Whoooo! So, last blog post we spoke about deep breaths and stretches to slow ourselves down and expand our consciousness! (You know, as opposed to that sense of urgency that tends to limit our own amazing consciousness and contributes to feelings of inadequacy.)  Good news, ya’ll! “Stream Divide,” is just the acupuncture point to help balance overwhelming feelings by calming you down, creating some space for yourself and getting you the eff off that hamster wheel!

Stream Divide is indicated for alll sortsa ailments!  Dizziness, mania, agitation, sadness, headaches, ravenous hunger with inability to eat, tummy pain and suuuuuper fullness are only a few afflictions this point can ease. Hmmm, ever notice how we feel ALL of the above when we’re hyper-stressed, overwhelmed, and putting pressure on ourselves to hurry up and do more? Yup, this point has our backs!

Stream Divide is located on the stomach channel (Stomach 41, to be exact) and it both literally and figuratively helps us digest all that we have on our plate. How cool is that?!

When looking down at your foot, you’ll notice a little hollow space around the ankle area.  It’s in the very middle of your ankle, as seen in the above image.  Jiexi – ST 41.

Stream Divide clears heat, which is where all of the slowing down comes in. Heat is pretty fast in nature (think electricity, wildfires, etc.) and utilizing this point will balance your own internal heating system to get you back to feeling as calm and cool as a cucumber. This point divides the load you carry as it calms the Shen, activates the meridian, and removes obstructions allowing you to recognize more space and options to explore.Exciting stuff, right?!

Try applying pressure to the Stream Divide to create a sense of calm and spaciousness. Go right on ahead and claim all of that space that you own! You can also apply lavender or rosemary essential oils to it each night to help create a peaceful rest as you drift off to dreamland knowing there is plenty of time for you to do it all! Try it out and lemme know how it goes in the comments below!! I loooove hearing about your journey!!
